The Edinburgh Ras Shamra Project
_________________________________________________________________

W
elcome to the Edinburgh Ras Shamra Project web pages. The project is
based in the Hebrew and Old Testament Department, [1]New College, at
the [2]University of Edinburgh . The project has been running for over
a year now, but due to severe problems with the PC server, we have
recently moved our files to this new location. We hope to provide
digital images of some of the texts written in the alphabetic
cuneiform script developed at the ancient city of Ugarit, as well
information on matters Ugaritic in general.
_________________________________________________________________

We would like to extend our gratitude to the many [3]people whose
contribution to this project has made this archive possible.

If you have any questions about Ugarit or Ugaritic studies, please
send an email to [4]N.Wyatt at ed.ac.uk.

We would welcome texts, images, draft papers, and any information that
relates to Ugaritic studies.
